After 30 years of nursing in Rochester, MN, I decided to return to my childhood home. Morton is a wonderful little village located in the Minnesota River Valley of southwestern Minnesota. With a population of approximately 450 people, you know and care about everyone in town.
I then decided to try my hand at something completely removed from my medical training and follow a life long passion of crafting, decorating and beautiful furniture. I was always fascinated with the Amish way of life and impressed with their craftmanship. In 1997, I began my retail career in one room of our old school house and built my current shop in 1999. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every day I spend at work. Over the following 2 years, two other gals have opened shops in Morton which makes it more fun to stop in and see us.
